Ohu leans over and puts an arm around Carol.
"You're a superhero, so I will give you a warning," he tells her, a friendly lilt still in his tone. "I have learned at the knee of the best trickster god reality has ever seen. I know how to make someone's life an absolute living hell with very little effort. You don't want me to turn my attention to you and decide that you need to learn a lesson." His voice drops, and Ohu becomes like an entirely different person: deadly serious and barely holding back anger.
"Let your daughter make up her own mind, or you will forever regret ever making my acquaintance."
Then the smile comes back, and he gives her a friendly pat on the shoulder... but his eyes still aren't smiling.
