"Denial ain't just a river in Egypt, Rogers," Steve said, trying to get him talking.
He understood how Charlie felt, after all. Between the responsibility he felt from Anya's getting kidnapped--why the hell didn't he go out to see her more often, school and Avenging be damned?--and his own uselessness compared to, well, just about everyone else on the team, he understood guilt.
He moved closer, to take up a spotting position.
