"I'll bet," he replies with more venom then he wanted. "I'm sorry, Grace. You're mother and I had an interesting relationship. I don't regret it, and you are a miracle." He remembers Carol's kitchen rant - about telling Grce she wasn't conceived by two people in love. It happens all the time, but sometimes kids don't need to know. Grace, however, is not a child anymore. He missed that. "It's just that we weren't exactly...getting along for much of that time together."
