Rachel's telepathy (along with her telekinesis) had been growing by leaps and bounds since the nightmare that Lucas had helped her with. She wasnt' afraid of her powers anymore. The Phoenix eye-flare was proof enough of that.
But the telepathic contact still surprised her.
Me? she asked, surprised. Uh, okay. And I'll bring Misha too.
