Aaron saw Cait had reformed when the water started attempting to squeeze the life out of him. Aaron released the electricity he had gathered in an attempt to counter act the crushing and sending bolts of lightning out of his bounds in all direction which Aaron attempted to focus them towards Cait as much as he could.
