The Hood curses as King manages to duck away from her shots. When he starts running for the door, she tells herself that she can't let him get away. Not when she's so close to him!
She lands and the first man to reach for his weapon does so in slow motion, to her eyes. To the thug, Melissa simply sights on him a moment sooner than he can free his gun. She fires at him point-blank and ends his participation in the fight.
She is now, however, now next to two other gun men who easily have her in their sights as King is getting away.
"KING!" she shouts in that other-worldly voice, trying to dodge away from the other gunmen in the room.
