Joey's head is still ringing, so it takes him a moment to process Slabs pounding on the wall.

Rose takes off to leap at Slab, and Joey catches on at the very last instant as Bloodhound tries to go for Rose.
"Rose, wait!" he yells, throwing his arms out and launching a blast of flame at Bloodhound.
