He makes sure his hand makes contact with the bleeding injury, whispering a few words. That type of injury is much easier to heal, and she doesn't need to lose any more blood. Other than that, he holds her as long as she grasps to him, not telling her its ok, when he knows it isn't, or offering any other false comfort. Just making sure someone is there for her right now.
