Iason is up quickly enough, recovering from the blast. The heat did next to nothing, but the raw magical energy portion of the spell is a different matter.
She discerns the real Vincent quickly enough - her mind is hard to read, cloudy, well protected from such things. But even so, its obvious that she's doubting her loyalty to the Empress, and fighting half-heartedly at best. Once Vincent latches onto that, that Iason is fighting on two fronts, half against Vincent, half trying to fight her own mind, some courses of action may suggest themselves.
For now, the devotion to the Empress wins out, and once she finds a heartbeat, organic breathing pattern, all the signs of the genuine article, she fires heat beams from her eyes at the sorceress.
