A Long Talk
They were finally back. Things had managed to get even more disastrous in their absence.
And Moira knew whom she most needed to see, with whom she most needed to talk.

He was very busy, initially, and she would not interrupt anything so entangled with people's health. But she waited for him outside the infirmary, until he was done.

	She's seen him more tired before, but not often. She also knows what his schedule has been, volunteering to fill in everywhere he can while people recover. When first coming out of the infirmary, he's stretching and looking worn. For her, he finds a smile. "Moira! You don't know how good it is to see you. I've missed you!" (Reply to this)(Thread)

	He pauses only long enough to ditch his shirt and shoes. Right now, he's feeling way, way too inside, almost trapped with all the pain and nightmares. Getting outside revives him a bit, his walk a little more steady and his eyes brighter from the moment fresh air hits him. He heads out to the lake, then settles down on the ground. 	She nods a little. "Well enough. with most of it. It's a good death; the pack's on the right side; they stand by their obligations and make a good showing. He hugs her back tighter, settling comfortably against her.
"Nothing is ever simple, it seems. But I won't begrudge you any decisions you decide to make. If the prophecy spoke just of your dad's line, then your sister might become a medical doctor... or it could be either of your children, or grandchildren. If you get called again, and elect to do your duty, I won't love you any less for it."

She nods at the sensible elaboration of possibilities and just holds him.

"It's very good to know, thanks." Harder to know for sure what she would decide, of course. But that was to be expected, really.
Someday, Da would need a good deal of help, but that was likely quite some years off, if Ragnarok didn't come first. And no one knew when that would be.
And in the here and now..."You're going to be needing to get to bed soon. Have you eaten?"
