"Before you got here, Dr. Milbury demonstrated what the collars do. You've been allowed to take yours off so he can see what you can do, right? When have you ever seen me with mine off?" he asks. Rene would know that such a time has never occurred.
"He likes to study people like us, people with powers. He called us mutants. I don't know why he wants us, just that he does. And he always says I'm important somehow."
"You go back to the cells tonight, and I'll talk to the doctor. With any luck...you'll be free by morning. And no, his name isn't really Milbury, just like the five "orderlies" he keeps around aren't named George, Simon, Riana, Vanessa, Bob. But they're just names and serve a purpose." he says.
