Marlow had no clue what April's Fool Day was supposed to be on Earth. Clea hadn't bothered with teaching her young charge about social holidays that had no magical significance.
She left her cottage to go to the main house for tea. Without Svalin around, she had little reason to linger over morning tea in silence. Her short time with the Defenders had given her a preference for some company, even if she rarely had a conversation with the others.
She bypassed the coffee and pancakes to get a teabag and a mug of water. No power source needed; she held the cup by the handle and magically heated the water to her preferred temperature.
