"Gee, the Communist has an independent streak," he teases. Truth is, that stung him a little. He's been trying very hard at this husband job and it makes being an Avenger look somewhat easy. He the kind of guy who wears a ring on his finger as a reminder. It's not that he would do anything stupid with out it, but he knows himself a little too well, and trusting himself is a constant work in progress.
"I know, and I'd never have you endanger -" He puts a hand on her belly. "I just...You know, now I have no idea what I was thinking."
