"Ennie be de only family I got, an' vice versa. But because we didn' 'ave any parents to guide us, we jus' clung to one an' other for support. An' 'as you siad, it wasn' very healthy. But de shrink says ah appeared to be de one who wasn' clingy, it was Ennie. An' when Ennie said something, ah practically said " 'ow high?". Now... well... it's nice to be able to make mah own choices an' do what ah wanna do. Ah don' feel smothered no more, but ah do sometimes get lonely."
Alisa managed to keep a faint smile as she spoke. "An' it's good to actually... you know, start to t'ink about men properly. Wit'out worryin' what mah broder would t'ink or 'ave him go into a rage. An' wit'out me feelin' guilty. Ah mean, ah still 'ave mah bad days, Nick, but who doesn' ."
She finally sat back up, leaning over to hold Nick's hand. " 'ey... you got me now. Well... ah ain' family... but ah dere for you like one. So are de other Champions!"
