"De simple t'ings mortals take for granted. Even if it is de smallest o' dem t'ings, it made me happy. It's almost de same for relationships. Even if it looks like it sucks for me, dat ain' so. It's still somet'ing, you know."
You could take Alisa LeBeau off of the streets, but it seemed harder to take the streets out of her. To her, this all made sense. Even if it was small, worthless, or taken for granted for others, she treasured it. Something she probably still needed to work on in therapy, that she had to start giving herself worth, not the small things about her.
"Mais, ah don' mean to be such a downer, Argo. M'sorry. What de heck 'ave you been up to, anyway? Ah hardly get to spend time wit' you, since ah been workin' so hard."
