Several crows' calls cut into the conv
ersation as they swooped low and passed by. A cow could also be heard as it wandered out of one of the barns down in that village but the thing looks diseased.
Upon closer examination, there were several people wandering about the village. None of them looked particularly healthy...and all had glowing red eyes. Suddenly, the path behind James and Val starts to break away. Looks like they might want to run.THere's a small man-made bridge up ahead that goes across a small stream and leads not only to the village but to ground that isn't crumbling.
