MJ wraps her son in her arms and hugs him as tightly as she listens to what he says and simultaneously says silent prayers of thanks. Her son is safe. He's in her arms. She may not let go.
But then she hears what he says about Sidonie and hears his tears...her stomach tightens. Her child is fine. Someone else's is gone.
"Honey, I'm sure it's not your fault. Oh Ben, I'm so sorry." She can't tell him it's okay because it isn't but it kills her to see him hurting so much. She smooths his hair and continues hugging him, looking up a bit to see Guardian.
"You look like you need a hug, too."
