Doctor Benson sits down with Guardian, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"You did the best you could, but she'd already lost a lot of blood. Not all of the bullets exited. The bleeding would have had to stop or at least abate long enough for us to remove them, and her body was already under severe strain." the doctor says.
"You did the best you could, Guardian. That's...that's really all any of us can do." she says solemnly.
