As the rest of her unknown and unexpected "back up" made themselves known Elise couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Certainly she was grateful; she'd been running for long enough and her reserves of everything had gotten just low enough that there was no way she would have been able to fend them off alone; not sleeping more than a nap here or there or eating very often tended to do that to a person. She was also embarrassed, though, and felt guilty. She'd disrupted what appeared to be a friends' night out and probably scared the bejeezus out of other folks as well.
"This was all my fault. I apologize." There was no use mincing words in explanation. These people clearly were special and would know precisely what she was talking about. "I'm Elise von Strucker. My grandfather, Baron von Strucker, is displeased that I have elected not to embrace the family business of crime and nefarious deeds. He is also pissed that I reject my parents and heritage. What happened here was him sending some heavies to drag me back.
"I'm very grateful for your help. I wish I could repay you for your generosity of time and strength."
