Sightseeing @ 12:54 am

The royal wedding had been a lovely affair. Luna had enjoyed herself, and thought it was absolutely beautiful.

Though the company might have had something to do with why she had enjoyed herself so much.

After the wedding and reception, Luna and Eli had gone back to the Strand Palace Hotel to their respective rooms.

After taking a brief nap and changing clothes, Luna went to Eli's room and knocked on the door. They had decided to stay the weekend to go sight-seeing.

When Thoughts Of Fancy Turn to Love @ 02:37 am

[info]anyastark:

Anya entered the firehouse that served as the Thunderbolts headquarters and dropped her backpack. She looked out the window and down at the street below. The four guys were /still/ there. She would have thought they would have left when she went inside. The quartet followed her back here from class and had been acting strangely.

One professed undying love. One tried to kiss her and got punched for his efforts and was now sporting a swollen lip. One tried to carry her backpack for her. The last one recited poetry to her as they walked. For a few fleeting moments she wished she could put on a gauntlet and blast them away with a repulsor blast, but it would cause a /scene/.

What happened? Anya had known these guys since her first day of college and all of them had been nice and nothing like this. They even knew she was married and yet suddenly they were acting like this. Idly she wondered if there was something in the water that was making them act so weird.

She watched them and prayed they would just go away.

Going home @ 06:41 pm

Anastasia was overjoyed. Earlier that week, she had talked to Cait, who told her that she knew a way for her to go home, that the teleporter on the Champions, Irina could open up dimensional portals and take her back home. Take her, Rose, Gretchen, and Brad home. While Anastasia didn't hate where she was, and she loved her sisters and her friends, she missed her family and friends back home.

Anastasia had called Brad and Gretchen and told them, and they were going to go to Champions' HQ to meet Irina there before coming to the institute to get her (and maybe Rose, too).

Anastasia finished packing. She didn't have a lot of stuff with her, as she never liked asking Dad for more than she needed, and she had her things at home. She kept the presents that people had given her for her birthday and for Christmas, and some pictures that she had taken of her with her friends on X-Force, and a couple of pictures of her and Tina. Her clothes could be donated.

Anastasia closed her suitcase and went to go find Rose, and to say goodbye to people. She wasn't just going to leave without telling people where she had gone.

Happy Birthday! (open to Defenders) @ 06:44 pm

[info]team_mascot:

Zoey was always happy when there was going to be a party. The Asgardians didn't have an exact birthday, but it was sometime in the spring. So today they were going to celebrate the Asgardians' birthday. Zoey of course wanted a party with balloons, streamers, ice cream and cake, but Mom had said that they would be having dinner of their favorite foods and then cake. Not a regular birthday party.

Zoey did help Sarah and Malinda make and decorate the cake.

Dinner came and the Defenders gathered around the large dining room table.

"Happy birthday!" Zoey said and handed each one of them a card she had made herself. She went shopping with Mom and the two of them had gotten the Asgardians some clothes.

Changes (Justin). @ 10:42 pm

Something about the couch had been annoying Tina for a few weeks.  It wasn't the couch itself, that was fine and very comfortable.  Justin always seemed to enjoy sprawling out on it for movie nights.  What it seemed to be was that Tina didn't like where it was in the living room so, with the day to herself, she spent some time rearranging things.  Tina pushed furniture around, adjusted where things were placed, even bought a couple of new throw blankets to dress things up.  When she was finished she was pleased with her work and sat down to wait for Justin to come over.  He practically lived there; his opinion mattered a great deal to her.

Legacy of Hate @ 11:06 pm

[info]clawed_progeny:

His name was Keiji Oyama. In underworld circles he was better known as Lord Deathstrike. That name bound him to a duty that was the sole reason he was born. His mother, Lady Deathstrike, could not kill her sworn enemy, Wolverine. In a bid to do so, she had allied with the Hand.  However, in exchange for their aid, she would have to sire a child with one of the group's ninja-lords, who would serve the Hand. He was the result. Even though their combined efforts failed to slay Wolverine, the alliance endured. He remembered fragments of his mother from his childhood. She had trained him from birth in her fighting style. He suspected now that she knew she wouldn't survive her next battle with Wolverine, and had already planned for Keiji to be the salvation of their family's honor. One day she left and never came back. His superiors told him she had been killed by the Wolverine. Now he had two debts to bear. One was the honoring his service to the Hand in accordance with his mother's original bargain. The second..to reclaim the honor of the Oyama Clan.

His claws shifted under his fingers, in and out. A common occurrence when he was agitated. Four months ago, while in service to Lord Junirchiro, he had stumbled upon a government agent. A mutant, like himself, but also the daughter of Wolverine! In the end he couldn't bring himself to slay her outright, she did not posess adamantium herself. Still, this meant he would soon learn of Keiji's existence. There would be no element of surprise. Just as well, Keiji preferred to fight his enemies head-on. His stock in the Hand was great, his knowledge of its practices formidable. Soon he would sit among the lords, an elite servant of the jonin himself. Perhaps..no, Keiji did not desire power for its own sake. Half of his debt was to serve the Hand, not have it serve him.

Regardless, he would have to draw Wolverine into an arena of his choosing, fighting him in his home territory was folly. He remembered the girl, she may be the key to bringing him to Japan. He didn't particularily like the idea of using family against his enemy, but after all, he didn't start this feud. However, he would finish it.
