The two kids had quickly eaten the sandwiches and reached for more. They hadn't eaten in days and they didn't know when their next meal would be.

Ten and Four practically jumped at the sound of a new voice. They looked like they were ready to bolt for the door. The sandwiches and food were forgotten about for the moment.
