Cassidy's eyes finally open, and he stares at the demolition around him, the city in all directions damaged, nearly destroyed.
He didn't even have to ask if he'd been the one to do this; he simply knew. He didn't see George anywhere and hoped that maybe, just maybe, the man was dead. It would be enough for Cassidy if that small bit of luck was given him.
But when he saw a diamond hand sticking up through the rubble, he realized that he might have just killed someone else who'd never done him wrong.
"Tina?" he calls out, picking his way across the rubble. "Tina...?"
No...please god, no. Not again... he pleaded silently.
"Tina! It's me! Say something, please." he begs her, as he tries to lift pieces of rubble off of her. He gets several out of the way in frantic desperation, but when it comes to the girder, the young man can't lift it.
"HELP!" he screams. Then he thinks better of it. That's what led to this.
He needs to find Tina's friends, before it's too late.
