Considering how badly he was being beaten Leo though using his ability to overload someone’s mind couldn’t really make things worse. While getting beaten he managed to take off his gloves and tried to grab a hold of Dr. Kraken. If he could he was going to overload his mind by making him relive all of his worst memories as the same time.
