"Yeah, I've seen how this movie ends," Sydney said. "I vote we back out now and nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."
She took a step backwards, nearer the wall. All the electricity Victor had tossed around was playing havoc with her sensors. If they'd been up and running, she could have avoided what happened next.
A bug burst from the wall, grabbing onto her back and sinking its teeth into her shoulder.
Crack!
The bite went right through her shoulder-plating and into the skin below. The bug's other arms grabbed onto her, trying to drag her into the wall.
