Rose did not confess to knowing Tina well, not that she really knew anyone well except for Joey and Annie, but she was trying to make an effort to be civil and get along with people. She might well be in this universe for a long time.
Besides, she didn't entirely trust hospitals, no matter how "private" they were. It was right up their with labs in the list of places she didn't like.
