"I wrapped my car around a tree going a higher-than-normal rate of speed when my tire blew out. The proximity to work was just a fluke. I would have done this anywhere...and I'm glad it was nowhere near the river. It's not work-related. It's 'Tina is a speed demon' related."
She sighed, then smiled.
"Insurance totaled her, but we could buy her back if you want to play with her. She's a pretty lost cause, Jus. I had part of her in me. If my internal organs hadn't gone diamond...."
He'd be seeing her in a casket right about now.
