Marlow's reasoning proves apt, Halbjorn isn't home anymore, and certainly isn't up for a plan more complex than 'Charge, then hit things' - thankfully, Balor is a big target, which draws the berserker spirit like a magnet. He tramples a Mindless One, dragging two others who have latched on, rushing towards the sword wielding demon.
At least he might make a good distraction.
