"Art thou so enlightened thou canst not even recognize victory thou didst have a hand in?" Asleif asked Dawn.
Her expression broke for a moment, almost with something like gratitude.
"Thou kept my family safe. Thou fought against enemies of Asgard. And thou didst protect this realm and this land... and by extension, those whom I would desire protected.
"And I didst see much, through thine eyes. Thine fear. Thine heroism. Thine love for life. I will carry these with me."
"I will have brief business to attend to at our return, once mine siblings and your Olympian friend finish their celebrating... and then you and I will speak again. I ask that you do not leave until that time, at least."
