Misha really did try to make things easier for her, and it only seemed to frustrate her more. He'd been raised to show respect. It was disrespectful to call an adult by their first name. Those that were close enough carried the honorific Uncle or Aunt. Those that weren't were still Mr., Mrs., or Ms. It wasn't in him to pretend to an instant relationship to anybody, but damned if he could explain it to her so she would see his side of it. Stark didn't seem to have a problem with it, only Mom. Maybe it was a guy thing.
"Darlene's tossing ideas at me on a daily basis, mostly expensive and for Anya. I swear, Anya's convinced my car that she's the greatest thing since pop top beer cans. I'm pushing for a twin gift. Matching bunny slippers, maybe."
