Magneta was knocked down by the full power blast, and mercifully away from Chris, though not nearly as harmed by it as she should have been. The shimmer in the air where the blast struck her suggested the presence of some kind of magnetic force field.
"X-Tremists," she growled to her team. "Destroy them! Destroy them all!"
She fired a magnetic force beam at Annie.
