Melissa took a deep breath. Here goes nothing...
"Okay, the reason I've been so out of touch is because I met someone. Not in the normal way, though. It was actually at Big Nick's, ironically, and we both love the place." she says.
"The thing is...I met a girl. I've been dating a girl for the past few months. Now, I like guys too, but...I like this girl. Kelly's really sweet and she treats me well." Melissa says, trying to gauge her best friend's reaction to the news.
"We have fun together, and she...she really gets me and where I come from. Am I making any sense here?" she asks.
