Marlow will recognize immediately that this is no ordinary dog and that Whisper is /huge/. Matt just shakes his head.
"He wasn't so nice the last time I took him out. Do not let the puppy dog eyes fool you." Matt says. Whisper cuddles against Marlow and whines at the injustice.
"You big ham. Pretty women will not fall to your charms." he says.
