Evelyn looks a bit concerned now, as if she might have said too much, but if his partner didn't know, she needed to before something happened.
"There are times when Jason gets so involved in his work that he loses himself completely. It's like he goes somewhere, but he can keep working while he does it. He doesn't eat, or get tired, or respond to anything. Believe me, I've tried." she says.
"Usually, when he's done, he'll have some new invention in front of him, but he can't even tell you what it does. His grandfather was much the same way." she says, taking a sip of her coffee with shaking hands.
"The first time it happened, he lost an hour. The second time three. A few months ago, I swear he spent all day in that lab and didn't come out until I had to have a neighbor break down the door and pull him up off the floor. That's why I'm asking you to make sure he's getting out more. I don't know what exactly triggers it, except for his work." she says.
