The car pulls up to the door and stops. Chauncey opens the door and Avery lets Zoey get out first. He'll quickly follow her, then aid Chauncey in getting their luggage out of the car.
A pair of young men in their twenties arrive immediately to start taking the bags inside the house. Avery takes Zoey's hand as Adrian gets out of the car.
"Zoey, go ahead and follow Milda to your room. I'll be right up after you." he says, then turns to face Adrian.
"Don't ever try to undermine me in front of my daughter ever again, Adrian. I'll be civil for the sake of family, but don't think I've forgotten about your hand in the destruction of my marriage." Avery says.
