And this is another of those times that he wishes Sydney were here to help him answer questions. As much as she's putting him on the spot, Avery loves that his daughter is so direct and inquisitive.
"If you decide sorcery isn't for you, Small Lady, we should definitely talk about a career in law." Avery chuckles.
"It's really not that simple, though, Zoey. Mommy and I would have to do a lot of talking before we made a big decision like that, and we'd want to talk to you about it, too, because your thoughts and feelings are important to us." Avery says.
"So, that's something that we'll have to wait and see about, honey. I promise, though, if we decide anything like that, you'll be the first to know." he says.
