"I did," she said with a smile. "It was very good." Mom had reminded her a few times to be on her best behavior. It was hard to sit through dinner without fidgeting and without talking much. At home dinner was a noisy affair and everyone just talked about anything. Zoey had been quiet through most of dinner and had decided it wasn't much fun.
