The first thing that Emma will note as she approaches her door is that it is wide-open. The second thing she'll notice is that her alarm system is not going off.
"Come in, Emma." a Southern accented voice says from inside the apartment. "Ah was wonderin' when you'd finally come home."
A soapy, spicy scent issues from inside the apartment, the scent of cologne that Emma has not taken in in nearly twenty years.
