After School (Open)
Andrea was currently in the lounge of the living quarters portion of the Baxter Building, a laptop open on the table in front of her, and books alongside that. Of course, she already had the contents of those books scanned into her memory, but the more human aspects of her programming matrix insisted upon also having the physical articles in front of her.

Her eyes were fluttering in their sockets, and the computer was humming along, text appearing on the screen with speed far faster than any person could type.

Only her second week of school and she was already working on papers. Granted, her class schedule was somewhat larger than that of other students. Without the need for sleep or food that other students possessed, she was able to take an enlarged class schedule, across better hours.

"Well enough. There's still much I'm dwelling on."

The fact that he'd been able to mildly flirt with another girl for the first time since their breakup had actually been a rather significant step for him, but common sense dictated not telling Andrea about that unless it became something significant.

"I've been having regular sessions with Dr Samson. They've been proceeding well."

He hesitates, then continues. "There's also something I was hoping to get some input from you on."

Vincent nods. "I imagine the mapping of descent lines alone could also lay the ground work for a rather in-depth paper on the life of non-organic humans."

The topic also lets him start guiding it towards his own issue at a polite pace. "How do you feel about the... social element?" Vincent had been significantly detached from his classmates through his conventional academic career thus far, so it wasn't something he had a great deal of experience with.

There's a faint twinge of jealousy before Vincent crams it to the back of his mind.

"Yes, you cut quite a profile when activating your weapon systems or going through any of the physical changes that accompany your power syntheses. As striking as you are to begin with, it's not surprising they might not make the connection on their own." He can't help but smile at her in that way, as he gives the compliment. He tries to let it fade naturally before continuing.

"I've... never really been able to not be Vincent Amorason without 'of the Fantastic Four' being attached to it."

She went on, "But student residential life requires proximity and compromise on virtually every issue. I am not certain you are capable of that.

This may be equivalent to the nuclear option, by social interactivity standards, but I feel it's the most immediate option available to me, and an important effort to make." He nods, seeming to cheer up slightly at the opportunity to discuss the more technical aspects. "An anchored glamour spell to give myself an alternate appearance, most likely keyed to a physical object. It will require a conscious command to turn off, so it won't slip when I go to sleep."

He sits back against the couch, running a hand through his hair. "I... I just want to try to figure some things out about myself. Understatement that it is, I'm not normal. I'm never going to be normal; but at the very least, I need to learn how to function outside of the Baxter Building. Outside of being 'that' Vincent. I don't know what else to do. College is what normal people do, right?"
