Well, almost this. He didn't expect the zero-point energy.
Of course, he's also guessed, after his ranged attacks, she didn't expect to be hit with his null field, the hands of his suit designed to suck energy out of opposing power suits. Its better used in a grapple, but he was hoping it'd catch her off guard.
He takes the punch and goes flying back, slamming hard into a building, the surface of his suit crackling with electrical energy while he tries to come back to his senses.
