With how fast this thing was adapting Nicolai figured it couldn’t hurt to try and see if he could make eye contact to use his gaze on the thing though he wasn’t entirely sure if he could or not so he kept on shooting and reloading as needed. If his gaze worked like normal he should give them five seconds to act without it being able to do anything against them.
