Cassidy stares at Scott with utter incomprehension.
"Are you saying they don't know each other at all? Or that they just don't like each other?" Cassidy asks.
An unsettling thought occurs to him: what if he's the product of a one-night stand that neither of them talks about? Maybe /that's/ why they both seemed so uncomfortable in the tape that Doctor Millbury showed him.
Was he that much of a shame that they had to sell him to a crazy person?
"So...they were ashamed of me." he says quietly.
