Andy knows that Argo's courage isn't failing him, but perhaps his brother didn't realize what kind of torment a mortal soul could endure in such a short time.
He's heard stories from his family members who have visited Hell and all of them sound like eternal torment. No joining your family in the Elysian Fields or meeting friends on the distant shore. Just endless torment and lonliness.
The Christian God didn't seem very loving or forgiving, despite what his scripture said.
"We're with you, Argo." Andy says.
