While Making Rooms Presentable
She was /not/ going to cry.
She'd lived more or less without Dad hanging around for a long time now. Once he thought her sufficient enough to do for herself, he even sent his doubles to watch her less and less. All of his time was spent either working on designs, researching or hunting.
The fact that Eli Paravich didn't need to sleep gave him full use of his days and nights, but Veronica often wished that her father found the time for her.
She went to the linen closet and got fresh linens for each room. The housekeeper could do this and Ronnie knows it, but it's either this or get lost exploring the past and her teammates might need her at anytime.
Still, the pillows are treated a little rougher than usual as she sets them on the bed, her hand dabbing at her eyes repeatedly.
