Tony was busy with Eddie, but he did notice when first Anya, then Misha cornered James. Tony didn't know what was going on, but he knew his daughter. When Anya thought there was a secret in the air, one could almost /see/ the Romanov side of Anya's heritage consume the Stark side.

Which meant that James probably needed some back-up.

Tony hands Eddie over to his mother and makes his way over to the gathering.

"Hey, James, care to show an old man the ropes of that new video game you got?" Tony asks with a grin.
