Power Plant
Before the kid had shown up, Ken Hale was pretty sure he'd been the last "super-hero" on the planet. The aliens had killed Jimmy and Bob and Venus, blown-up the robot. The Torch, Toro, and the Sub-Mariner had gone missing. And whoever that Cap and Bucky had been, they hadn't been the real deal.
He'd been fighting the aliens for years, but even with weapons and training, they didn't have the raw power needed to topple an army like that.
Now, in captured transports, with forty good men and woman at his command, along with the armored girl Barton had brought back with him, they were going to knock the defense grid out of line and take it down.
"You ready for this, girly?"
