The scene outside of Maria Stefanos' home was one that one would expect. People crowded on the lawn waiting to get a glimpse of the woman who lived there. They had come to be healed by Maria's miraculous abilities. Some were on crutches, some in wheelchairs and some had oxygen masks over their mouth and nose.
A small altar had been set up, but there were no crucifixes to be seen. There was a picture of an African woman above the altar and the gathered people were praying to it.
