In Asgard
Asleif transported them to Asgard just outside the house her mothers, father and younger siblings lived in. They were ambushed by Eir and Astrid and the two had many questions for Svalin and Vernique. Svalin and Vernique patiently answered them, but when it seemed the questions wouldn't stop the children were given chores to get them out from under foot. The mothers were out of the house and Svalin and Vernique had to wait for them to get back.
While they were waiting, there was something Svalin had to do.
She drew Vigfrior and put the tip of the sword on the ground. She dropped to one knee and had one hand on the hilt of her sword. "Vernique, I art a warrior of Asgard and doth not intend to give up the sword to run a house and raise children. Mine sword and mine life art thine if thou wilt do me the honor of being mine wife and raising mine children."
