A good question, in truth. Asleif, for all her attempts to become a better person, was still very much Asleif, and thought of herself before others. And yet, she was also touched by his words and the depth of consideration Vincent showed.

The clockwork girl? She'd all but forgotten about her. It was over and done and she had moved on to other things.
