Misha planned dinner at a nice restaurant after the auction. Lyta would get the royal treatment tonight - roses, chocolates and jewelry.
A small velvet box in his jacket pocket contained a set of diamond earrings. He selected them himself and hoped she would like them. They had Darlene's approval, not that he'd asked for it, and if Misha was lucky he wouldn't be required to buy his car a set as well.
His Godiva account got a workout with boxes of truffles for all the girls and honorary aunts at the institute before he left for the charity auction.
