"I'm good. Just put in the paperwork to run for the City Council seat last week, so I apologize for not being around more." Avery says. "I'm glad I got to see you on your birthday." he says.
He pauses, trying to form his next question properly because it stems from the party.
"Did you and Simon get to talk at all?" he asks.
